World renowned American actress, producer, and businesswoman Jennifer Aniston has welcomed Architectural Digest into her dreamy California home which she shares with her husband Justin Theroux.
Jennifer has settled in California after relocating to Manhattan, “a move ultimately thwarted by the rabid paparazzi that swarmed outside her Greenwich Village apartment building” notes AD. Following the move to busy New York city, the international star moved to Bel Air, living in a property renovated by architect Frederick Fisher however, the renovation left Jennifer feeling as if the property was too minimal which prompted another move to Los Angeles.
There’s something about picking out fabrics and finishes that feeds my soul. – Jennifer Aniston
The home decor is referred to as “Old World meets New World”, with a mix of hand-painted wallpaper and midcentury furniture, silk rugs and polished concrete tiles. “If I wasn’t an actress, I’d want to be a designer” said Jennifer, “There’s something about picking out fabrics and finishes that feeds my soul.” – Wood is a key material loved by Jennifer notes designer Stephen Shadley who was enlisted to help bring the new California home to life. Either it be wood, stone, or bronze each material needs to ooze substance and depth as well as being warm and inviting.
